The family as an important social institution has an obvious role to play concerning prevention of social harms. This institution and its members have now been profoundly affected by the media. Nowadays, the media functions as a strong tool by influencing the couples' thoughts and their relationships with their children. It also profoundly influences some concepts such as family, love and ethics. Although, the media affects people of all walks of the society, but it has a great impact on families. The family as an institution has always been receptive to changes during different periods. The decline in the number of children in the family, women's increasing participation in society, their diminishing role in the family, rise of divorce and decrease of marriage, beside other social factors, have affected the structure of the family and changed it dramatically.
